Following a vote from the OM Nation members, it was decided to exit from the OM Nation program with immediate effect. This follows several missteps from the OM Management. The following statement will be published shortly.

 Chers Amis Olympiens,
 
Depuis l’été 2003, date de création d’OMNY, nous nous regroupons pour suivre les matchs de l’OM en direct dans un bar de Manhattan. En plus de vivre notre passion à des milliers de kilomètres, nous jouons un rôle social ou tous les amoureux de l’OM peuvent venir se retrouver et passer un moment convivial à nos côtés.
 
Nous avons connu beaucoup de tempêtes ces dernières années mais celle que nous vivons actuellement est inconcevable. Le projet sportif prétentieux est un échec, la situation contractuelle de certains joueurs et dirigeants, inexplicable, la fuite amorcée de l’entraîneur en début de saison puis son retour, une mascarade.
 
La Présidence, qui en plus de ne rien connaître au ballon et à Marseille, a commis trop d’erreurs de communication envers le peuple Marseillais sans jamais le reconnaître ou changer de cap. A croire que la journée d’intégration, ou la “Welcome Week” comme on l’appelle ici, n’a pas été faite ou pas du tout assimilée.
 
Même si nous vivons à 6000 km de là, cela nous a beaucoup touché, ainsi que pour nos amis, familles et sans nul doute, toute personne qui nous a rendu visite lors de son passage à New York. Nous ne pouvons plus porter le fanion de l’OM de manière officielle dans ces conditions.
 
En conséquence, nous avons décidé de nous retirer du programme OM Nation avec effet immédiat.
 
Rien, ni personne, ne nous empêchera de continuer à vivre notre passion pour ce club qui nous a donné et continuera de nous donner, on l’espère, de belles émotions futures.

Subject: Statement
 
Dear Olympian Friends,
 
  Since the summer of 2003, when OMNY was founded, we have banded together to watch OM games live in a Manhattan bar. In addition to living our passion thousands of kilometers away, we play a social role where all OM lovers can come together and have a friendly time with us.  

We have experienced a lot of storms in recent years but the one we are currently experiencing is inconceivable. The pretentious sporting project is a failure, the contractual situation of certain players and managers, inexplicable, the fleeing initiated by the coach at the start of the season then his return, a masquerade.

The Presidency, which in addition to knowing nothing about football and Marseille, made many communication errors towards the people of Marseille without ever recognizing it or changing course. Almost to believe that the integration day, or the “Welcome Week” as it is called here, was not done or not assimilated at all.

Even though we live 6,000 kilometers away, it really touched us, as well as our friends, families and no doubt anyone who visited us while in New York. We can no longer wear the OM flag officially under these conditions.  

As a result, we have decided to withdraw from the OM Nation program with immediate effect.  

Nothing and no one will prevent us from continuing to live our passion for this club which has given us and will continue to give us, we hope, great emotions in the future.
